01Working Around Occupancy
Hotels rarely empty, so work usually runs floor by floor or wing by wing, and the schedule is agreed with you before anything starts.
Rooms come back into use on a date you can sell, which means cure times and drying times are built into the plan rather than hoped around.
Where a lift or a stair has to stay live, that is a scheduling constraint we want to know at the survey, not on the day.
02What We Check Before Quoting
The substrate in every area, the existing build-up, the acoustic requirement and the access route for material.
On a slab we take a moisture reading. In a corridor we look at what is under the existing carpet, because that is usually where the acoustic performance actually comes from.
The quote goes in writing, area by area, with the preparation priced in rather than left out to shrink the headline.
