It gives you the toughness of a resin floor with a surface that hides dust and tire marks far better than a plain color does.
A plain resin floor shows every mark. A flake floor breaks up the surface, so day to day wear disappears into the pattern.
It also gives the finished floor some texture underfoot, which matters in a space that gets wet.
